From Vieux-Habitants<\/h4>

To reach the start of the hike, the road will leave you with an unforgettable memory: you have to reach the bottom of the valley by traversing the mountainside; and since we don't have any ice in Guadeloupe, the roads are not winding but truly vertical!<\/p>

Departure from La Griveli\u00e8re<\/h4>

We are starting the hike at Paradis Waterfall at the bottom of the Grande-Rivi\u00e8re valley, one of the largest rivers in Guadeloupe.<\/p>

We are in a place where old plantations blend with tropical vegetation: mango trees, cocoa trees, coffee trees, guava trees... a richness when it's fruit season!<\/p>

Arrived at the river<\/h4>

In the heart of Guadeloupe National Park, we cross this river Grande Plaine for the first time to follow the tropical forest dotted with coffee and cocoa trees. The sun's rays illuminate the waterfall; this hike to Cascade Paradis is magical in the late morning.<\/p>
